An Evening With Judy Garland

The Nelson Musical Theatre with Sophie Ricketts, who sings with the Nelson Jazz Club Big Band, is presenting An Evening With Judy Garland of Friday 11th and Saturday 12th April.

Judy Garland was a star of many shows and movies in which a lot of songs that are now jazz standards were first performed. And, if you have heard Sophie singing with the Big Band, you will have already enjoyed her strong and vibrant performances. The show tells the story of Judy Garland’s life: her grand achievements, her tragic losses, her search for happiness and her many husbands all set to a backdrop of some of her most famous songs. It is sure to make you smile, bring a tear to your eye and pull on the strings of your heart.
